Austin's Project

Hey everyone,

I am posting this video to show all of you how is the process to do the stair railings. Austin is a young guy that just bought a house and he is remodeling it. He called me and asked if I could help him boost his house value and the overall style of the house. We gladly accepted. He is a really good and hard working man. We appreciate y'all business. Let us know what you think!

Ornamental metal is not an easy task

Hey everyone!

I am posting this and will soon upload some more about  the process of making  metal railings, from scratch to finished product. This is not an easy task and it requires many steps. Not everyone can work with metal; it is messy, dangerous and unpredictable. Today, I want to let you in on some of the most frequent questions we receive regarding cost and the time it takes to complete a project.

Metal looks amazing when it comes to new homes, or renovations. Metal railings and other ornamental products will definitely boost your house appearance and enhance the overall view of any room. However, there is more than meets the eye when it comes to pricing.

You see welders and iron work companies depend on the price of metal. Metal prices are changing daily, so the price of a quote usually does not last more than one month. For example, the cheapest material for a metal fence is a prefab panel. This panels come with the measurements of 8' width x 6' tall; they are really cheap and easy to install. Suddenly, for reasons unknown to us, China stopped sending those panels over here to the US. From one day to another the prefab panel cost rose $20. Consequently, the iron worker will mark up the price of the product and you may start thinking that the company is trying to rip you off when that is not the case.

Moreover, Speed and quality are do not go together when it comes to metal, at least not for cheap. If you are trying to get your railings in for a home inspection or because you have a party, but you want to do it in less than 2 weeks, it will be very difficult. This is because metal workers may encounter many different problems when building any product. For example:

1. A mistake on the measurements can turn the product into a living nightmare and most of the times we/they have to start over. (that means not meeting agreed deadline)

2. weather is a big factor when finishing the projects. If you bought railings, fences or a similar product and it is raining, the welder will be able to weld in their shop. However, when the railings are being welded on site. (the place where the railings are going to be) the welder cannot proceed with the job until its dry.

3. Paint is also affected by the weather. humidity cause the paint to not adhere correctly to metal, making it to look like a bad quality job.

Metal work is an art. Time is our best friend for quality. When working on any home or renovation project, remember the following:

We offer three kinds of services

GOOD - CHEAP - FAST

GOOD & CHEAP won't be FAST

FAST & GOOD won't be CHEAP

CHEAP & FAST won't be GOOD

Water is life but... metal hates water!
